Operation 2,000 Members

One of the favorite parts of my job is to see records broken. When our Prepared Foods Department hits record numbers with Ox-Tail Wednesdays, or the Wellness Department's Probiotic and Protein promotion pushes their sales into double digit increases, I like that. I like that very much.

Breaking records gives a morale boost to our dedicated staff who works hard every day to surprise and delight our customers.

But the fast approaching record-breaker of surpassing 2,000 members is exciting for a lot of reasons. First of all, it’s happening so fast. When I started in June of last year, we had 1,421 members. Fast forward just seven months later and we’re 12 members away from 2,000!

Most of the increase happened in the last three months. Take a look at this graph of membership growth since the start of CCM in 2020. Notice the yellow bars in Nov and Dec for 2022, then be amazed at the dark green bar spike in January.

If you’re a long time member, you’ll recognize how important it is to attract more members. More members make CCM stronger. If you’re a new member, thank you for investing in the future of a member-owned, community- focused food store that helps support local growers and producers.

Onward to 3,000!
