Leon Fruit & Nut Exchange Harvest Event

Too many oranges? Grapefruits? Kumquats? Community Co-op Market is partnering with the Leon Fruit and Nut Exchange to collect our community's backyard fruits* for distribution to local food banks! Join us Saturday, January 22 from 9-12 to learn more about the Leon Fruit and Nut Exchange and to donate your excess fruit* to our neighbors in need.

The Leon Fruit and Nut Exchange is an Urban Gleaning Program located in Tallahassee that helps eliminate food waste locally by moving food forward. They collect donations of excess backyard-grown fruit and nuts and distribute it to local food banks. We are also collecting money for them at the registers through our Change for the Community round-up program.
