A Summer To Be A Member

Summer in Tallahassee is a challenging season for retailers, especially small ones like the co-op. You’ll start to see small businesses all over town adjust hours and staffing to account for traffic changes. Sales usually slow down for local businesses in May, but this year we’ve already seen seasonal declines in April.

The co-op must be proactive in order to meet our budget for the year, so we made a tough decision. We’re suspending the 15% member discount for the summer. You’ll have until the end of May to take advantage of the discount if you haven’t already. And when our budget allows, we’ll turn the discount back on. We’ll make a decision in the fall and keep you informed.

I know this is disappointing news, especially for new members who signed up just for the discount, and I apologize in advance for any inconvenience. But fret not! Your membership will still be valuable at CCM as we launch member-only specials throughout the store in what we’re calling “A Summer To Be A Member”.

Beginning in June, we’ll have a full season of members-only discounts in every department. Here’s just a few of the Members-Only Daily Deals all summer long:

• MON: $5 Smoothies, with a NEW recipe every week!

• TUES: Two-for-Tuesday Points. Double points for members!

• WED: Wellness Wednesdays—Crazy low prices on select items!

• THURS: Thirsty Thursdays mean 10% off all wine and beer!

• FRI: It’s Pizza Party Day with a slice of pizza and a can of soda for $2.50, or half price for a whole pie!

Otherwise, it’s business as usual here at CCM. Our co-op staff is proud of our store, and we cherish the connections we’ve made in the community with local vendors and members. We appreciate your continued support this summer and we hope to see you for “A Summer to be a Member”!
